Program Overview
Due to the constant evolution in transplantation care and innovation, there is often a need for improvement of comprehension in this population. Physicians organ wide, should be familiar and well-practiced in solid organ transplantation trends such as COVID-19 and transplant, equity and innovation in cardiac transplantation, desensitization strategies and outcomes in cardiac transplantation, uterine transplantation, pregnancy and transplantation, understanding transplantation in the VA, surgical advancements in kidney transplantation, patients perspective, and the role of advanced practice providers in transplant care.

At the conclusion of the activity, participants should be able to:

Will I get a calendar invite for the confirmed date?
- No, you will not receive a calendar invite for the confirmed date. After completing registration, you will receive an email confirmation with an option to add to the calendar.
Do I have to create a Meetings and Events Department account to RSVP for an event?
- Creating an account will simplify the RSVP process for all future online events. We encourage you to set up an account as soon as possible, but you are able to attend an event without an account.
Do I have to RSVP in order to attend the event?
- Please confirm you will be attending in advance by providing an RSVP for the event.
What steps should I take if I can hear the audio but can't see the video?
- Most issues can be resolved by closing out of the platform and re-joining the meeting.
- Confirm a strong internet connection, hardwired if possible.
- Google Chrome is the preferred browser. If you have trouble viewing the video, check that you are using Google Chrome to access the event.
How do I troubleshoot connectivity issues?
- If you are experiencing problems connecting to the platform and playback is poor, and all preventive measures have been taken, please contact the IT Department, Meetings and Events Department, or call 415.544.2438.
What steps should I take if the video or audio playback is choppy?
- Confirm a strong internet connection or hardwire your computer to the router if possible.
- Close other browsers, browser windows and/or programs.
- Please close any applications, webcams, computer cameras, and browser sessions that you are not using for the best experience.
How do I ensure I receive future communications?
To receive future event communications from the Meetings and Events Department, please be sure to check your current junk mail settings in your e-mail in order to receive these communications. If you have any issues with the above items, please contact your local IT Team to assist with your current safe sender settings.
Updating Spam Settings in Gmail:
- In Gmail, click the “Gear” icon at the top right, then click “See All Settings”.
- Click “Filters and Blocked Addresses” on top navigation bar, then click “Create A New Filter”.
- In the “From” section, enter systemmeetings@commonspirit.org, then click “Create Filter”.
- Check “Never send it to spam” and “Also apply filter to matching messages” settings, then create “Create Filter” once more.
- Click “Inbox” on top navigation bar, then uncheck “Promotions” under Categories.
- Click “Save Changes”.
Updating Spam Settings in Outlook:
- In Outlook, go to the "Home" tab and click on the "Junk" button (under delete). Then select "Junk E-mail Preferences" from the drop-down menu.
- Select the “Safe Senders” tab: In the "Junk E-mail Preferences" dialog box, then click “+” to add. Enter systemmeetings@commonspirit.org and then press enter.
ALTERNATIVE TECHNICAL PLAN
If we encounter a technical issue during the event that cannot be quickly resolved, an email will be sent out to speakers and attendees from the Meetings and Events Department with instructions on how to continue the event on an alternative platform, if applicable.
